Blood Strike is a really fun browser based MMOFPS that is based on the classic style of the genre but refines it a bit further and adds multiple new elements into the mix to make for a refreshing yet familiar experience that all players will be able to enjoy.

The very first match you play in Blood Strike will double up as a sort of tutorial match, emphasis on 'sort of'. The match will certainly be a real one but it will also consist of helpful dialogue boxes that keep popping up to explain the game's basics to you. This is overall a really nice way of easing new players into the game since they're able to learn things and at the same time try them out on the game that's currently underway. Again, the match will still count so you need to be on guard at all times in case players try to gang up on you.

In terms of gameplay, Blood Strike feels like an excellent combination of old school FPS elements with some innovative new stuff. First off let's get the basics out of the way; the shooting mechanics are one hundred percent those of classic FPS games which means that there won't be any sprinting and each weapon won't have a sight that'll allow you to zoom in. This is actually a nice change of pace from the modern style of play since the game becomes a lot more skill based this way as players have to aim a lot more precisely. There are two different game modes, one is the standard Team Deathmatch in which the game pits two teams against in each other in a fight 'till death.

The second game mode, known as the zombie mode, is where the uniqueness of the game lies. In this mode, players start off normally but after a few seconds some become infected and turn into zombies. The goal of the zombies is to infect all humans and turn everyone into a zombie whereas the goal of the humans is to stay alive until the timer runs out. This is a really fun back and forth mode that gets quite chaotic.

There's also a lot more depth to it than you'd normally think since there are actually four different types of special zombies that players can transform into once they've generated enough radioactivity. Each special zombie has its own unique abilities such as faster movement speed, higher jumping or some other bonus.

As for graphics, Blood Strike looks surprisingly pleasant for a browser based game. The weapon designs are insanely sharp and the level of detail makes them look quite like their real world counter parts. There aren't a lot of maps to play in but the maps that do exist are high quality and have some really some really high definition textures backing them up. Finally, the characters look spot-on, especially the zombies which actually look quite creepy if you actually get up close to one.

Although it's a free to play game, in Blood Strike you can use real world money to purchase things like weapons or unlock new equipment that can aid you during fights. Blood Strike is a fun and unique experience and also a fine example of the things that made classic FPS games so great.
